Embark on a jaunt to the past through this educational video seminar series created through Open Yale Courses (OYC). The seminars are conducted by historian, author and Yale University Professor Joanne B. Freeman. If you like history, we think you’ll love this well researched, 25 part program series that explores in great depth, the Revolutionary War period. Programs will be held at the Danbury Library and the Danbury Museum (43 Main Street.) And, we've added in a bit of fun! At the first program you attend, be sure to pick up a “Passport to the Past.” At this first program, and each subsequent program you attend, bring along your "Passport" to receive a stamp for that program. By the end of the series, if you have attended at least 10 video lectures and collected at least 10 stamps in your passport, you will be invited to a special free “Passport” event in Danbury's own historic Rider House. Costumed reenactors will serve light refreshments and tours will be provided of the building. All Library programs will be held from 1-2pm and all Museum programs will be held from 2-3pm.
