Event Details

Learn how to master the art of visual story telling through this (4) week course. Understand the art of the narrative of film and television and how to create your own work of art. This course is designed the help students not only understand the visual art form, but to allow them the tools and resources they need to shoot, edit and producer their own works from start to finish. By the end of the class students will all have produced a 3-5 minute video work of art to share with the class. Join Lauren Eliz, blogger, life coach and Danbury Library's Maker-In-Residence for the month of September, as she teaches this engaging 4 week course! Week Four - The Final Wrap & Screening: Students will take turns going around and discussing and critiquing their fellow students projects, helping them come up with new ideas for tightening their projects and taking things to the next level. At the end of the course, students will get together to showcase their work in a fun screening with friends and family! They will all introduce their videos and share them with those they love! Tools and Requirements: Students will need a smart phone, iPad or video camera available to them, but we will be giving students the option of working in groups to produce their films (depending on the amount of students who register) They can use their own equipment listed above, but if they do not have those resources available to them those students will work in a group setting with instructor’s tools. Also needed in the class: Notebook, Pen, Headphones. FREE Ages 14 + *Registration Required
