Event Details

This program for kids in K-5 isn’t just another stupefying series of fact-then-demos or silly powerpoint slides that rip the heart out of a wonderfully fascinating topic. The long-time success of Science Isn't Always Pretty, hinges on 50 minutes of audacious show & tell, outrageous facts, Scatology & more. Kids will meet a famous scientist (Antoine Lavoisier), dissect an owl pellet to see what it ate for lunch, chemically conjure a batch of Slime (solid or liquid?) to see how well it flies, and break the sound barrier with an everyday machine that travels over 900 miles an hour. Keith Michael Johnson has been doing cultural enrichment programs for children for 3 decades. Year after year Keith delivers programs that kids are excited to see, teachers are happy to attend and cultural arts committees rank among the very best they've ever seen.
