Event Details

Because it is a composite of many other languages, our American language offers many opportunities for amusement, amazement, and "Aha" moments. This is the first in a 3-part series. Presented by local resident and author Dan Wolinsky. Come to one or come to all. This week's program is entitled "Idioms Delight." We use idiomatic expressions all the time. What are some of them and how did they come to be? Learn and discuss the interesting stories behind their origins. (Idiom: an expression that cannot be understood from the meaning of its words but rather must be understood as a whole. Example - get the sack or rub the wrong way.) Free. Registration is encouraged. Call 203-797-4527 or online.
