Get your game on! Internation game day is November 15th. A variety of computer, card and board game stations will be setup in the Junior Department. Learn or compete in a game such as chess, checkers or YU-GI-OH. “Minecraft” and “Animal Jam” will be ready for you to play on designated computers. The program will be for children 6 thru 18. Pick up a “Game Card” at one of the computer stations, learn a new game or play one you already know, and get a card stamped at each station by a teen volunteer. The first 20 players to finish all game stations will receive a Game Master Trophy Award in commemoration of 2014 International Game Day which is being designed and donated by Danbury Hackerspace. To participate in the MineCraft Hunger Games, you should come to the library November 10-14 to qualify, and perhaps be selected, to play as a representative of “District 333 Danbury” in the final International Minecraft Hunger Games competition to be held at the library on Saturday, November 15. Danbury Library will send one boy and one girl tribute to represent our District”, District 333, based on the previous 5-day competition matches.
