English as a Second Language Class for Adults

This class meets in-person  and is led by a certified English instructor in collaboration with Western Connecticut Regional Adult and Continuing Education (WERACE) at no cost. 

All participants must be at least 17 years of age to take part in the program and each participant must provide a copy of their photo ID.

We invite you to join our new book club in Spanish. We will meet every Monday beginning January 8 until April 1. Readers will have the opportunity to discuss the plot, characters as well as meet new people. 
This book club is open for native Spanish speakers as well as those who are learning Spanish and have a high intermediate understanding of the language. Participants will have the opportunity to read aloud to practice their pronunciation.

We will be reading Fruit of the Drunken Tree by Ingrid Rojas Contreras.

Teen Council Meeting

The Book was Better: Movie Showing

Join us as we show the featured movie of the month from our "The Book Was Better" book club. Each month we will select a book that has been made into a movie. We will hold a book discussion on the first Tuesday of the month (except May when it will be the second Tuesday). The night before the discussion, we will offer a movie showing so you can be fully prepared to compare and contrast the two materials at the discussion. You are also welcome to watch the movie on your own at your own leisure. Be sure to sign up for "The Book Was Better" discussion and we will be happy to place a hold on a copy of the book and/or the movie for you to pick up.

Ratings of all movies are rated PG-13:
