Greenwich Library is pleased to welcome the acclaimed masters of early music styles and instruments, The Baltimore Consort, on Sunday, February 16 at 3:30 pm as part of the Peterson Concert Series. This 90 minute concert will be held in the Library's Cole Auditorium.

The Baltimore Consort has delighted audiences on both sides of the Atlantic and their music has earned a place on the Billboard Magazine Top-Ten list. The Consort's arrangements of early music from Europe speak to the heart as well as the mind. Their love for English and Scottish heritage has led them to delve deeply into the rich trove of traditional balladry and dance tunes preserved in the Appalachian Mountains and Nova Scotia. More recently, the group has explored the extraordinary repertory from the Iberian Peninsula.

The Baltimore Consort is in its 33rd season as one of America's favorite early music ensembles. The Consort has made fourteen recordings on the Dorian label and has toured widely in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Vocalists for the 2014 season will be two young superstars, the phenomenal countertenor Jose Lemos and the brilliant soprano Danielle Svonavec. For more information, visit
