 Nonprofit board members no longer have the option of saying, "I don't raise funds." This workshop provides tools to both incentivize board members and to help them become more comfortable with the grant-seeking process. It provides an ideal opportunity for nonprofit staffers to attend with their board members as a team. Topics covered include: who should and should not be on the board, what policies and structures need to be in place to facilitate fundraising, how to achieve a state of grant-seeking readiness, and how to develop an action plan to move toward a fully engaged board. Specific attention is paid to the various specific roles board members can and should play vis-à-vis an organization's prospects, funders, and staff.
