Learn how to master the art of visual story telling in the online platform. Students will have the opportunity of using Photography, Creative writing, and video to express their passions, stories and creative objectives. This class is designed to perfect the creative art form not matter what that art form may be, allowing students to take their creative expression to the next level. Students without blogs will be given the opportunity to create one following our simple steps in week one. Join Lauren Eliz, blogger, life coach and Danbury Library's Maker-In-Residence for the month of September, as she teaches this engaging 4 week course! Week One - The Web Platform and Finding Your Voice: This class we will teach students how to operate the online platform by registering and creating their own free website for them to use all together in the class. We will learn the simple HTML coding for a website and how to add variety and creativity with the website. If students already have their own website, they can work on creating and building off of that website through the course. The second half of the class, we will talk about the visual and creative components of effective story telling in the online platform and we will work through a group of effective examples to get the students engaged and intrigued about how they themselves will use the platform. The homework assignment for the class would be to come up with a solid theme of story ideas and pitches that they will want to work on through the course. FREE Ages 14 + *Registration Required
